Remote Desktop connection

You can connect remotely to your ETH computer via the following setup (access needs to be requested): Windows Use the builtin Remote Desktop Application:   macOS install the App from the Appstore: https://apps.apple.com/ch/app/microsoft-remote-desktop-10/id1295203466?mt=12   How to connect First, connect to the ETH via VPN.   Start the Remote Desktop Application and connect to your computer with the FQDN: hostname.d.ethz.ch Username: d\username PW: the same password as for Email.    

Windows: Map network drive

macOS: Connect to a remote folder

In the Finder, choose Go > “Connect to Server.” Type the network address for the folder in the Server Address field, example: smb://d.ethz.ch/groups/mavt/group-name   Enter your user account in the authentication window. Be sure to match the form d\eth-username (can be entered by pressing shift-alt-7).   NOTE: For Mac-Os Version prior to 10.6 you need the UNC path

Add a printer (macOS)
